I know it's all a rut, you want me to prove it to you

The logic behind phoning up credit card companies and telling them about your situation is that they'll most likely string you along because they know that if you can't pay for your credit cards, they ain't getting money. So basically they'd rather stretch it out so you pay them small amounts and they still get a steady trickle of money from you. Same with me any my mortgage - the bank would rather I *not* be thrown out onto the streets but rather I pay them a teeny bit of mortgage each month. Sad that I'm their cash cow now, but there you go.

Saying that, we should continue efforts to win the lottery and not worry about a darn thing money-related.

Yeah, as far as I can tell, they don't really care what your reason is, they just have to keep trying to offer "deals" to talk you into paying into something that you simply can't afford. I shutter to think of what payment options they'll give me.

That's right! I gotta get my ticket when I get gas tonight. My check will be ready by noon tomorrow. No idea when I'll go collect it but oh well, at least I know when it'll be waiting for me, right.

Yup, paying things off and not having to worry about such things anymore would be quite nice, don't you think? :-)
